During their time as a pair, Kennedy and Mariah competed as Level 7, Level 8, 11-16, and Junior Elite. Overall, they competed in 6 international competitions including two World Championships in 2010 and 2012.  During their final year, Kennedy and Mariah transitioned into a Senior Elite women’s trio with partner Mallory Henthorn. Since retiring as an athlete, Kennedy has served as a board member for the Acrobatic Gymnastics Foundation  since 2019, a non-profit organization that aims to support athletes, build community, and raise awareness about acrobatic gymnastics. She has also served as a Region 4 Judge since 2019.

Outside of the sport, Kennedy is a pharmacist at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
